I decided that I should enter the “Dirty Bass Composition Competition” over at the boyinaband forum (which can be found here).  I therefore took some time to write a new track which I will link in the next post.  The rules of the competition state that in order for your entry to be valid, you have to do a tutorial for the bass patch(es) you make.  I thought this was perfect as this is what I am doing here anyway.

    I decided to use Massive from Native Instruments again as it is notoriously good for making huge basses.  The tune I made, “OHH” comprises of 4 main basses in the drop which are fairly similar in terms of the oscillators used but the modulation of various parameters within these basses means that there is quite a variety in sound.
